Leadership Training Our 'Leadership Training for Young Agents of Change' is designed to teach high school students the basic skills involved in starting and leading an after-school Red Cross Club. This program is student centered with an emphasis on learning by self-discovery. Some of the topics that are covered in the training are 'Committing to a Cause,' 'Effective Facilitation,' 'Marketing your Club,' and 'Planning a Service Project.' Central Maryland schools may send up to four students to the training who are planning to act as the club leaders. The training is free, provided the students commit to starting a Red Cross Club at their school. Only twelve spaces total are open for each training. Please contact the Youth Services Specialist for more information and to register for the training. |
