Disasters
may strike suddenly without any warning. These events can be horrific
for adults, but they are traumatic for children. Preparing for a
disaster with your family and/or your community may reduce anxiety
and trauma. Are you prepared? If you are not, it is time to get
prepared! How do you prepare for a disaster? You can create a family
disaster plan and kit and teach your family and your community how
to recognize danger signals.
To
purchase publications and items for the kit, you can visit the American
Red Cross of Central Maryland store.
