Provide a hands-on way to further students’ learning
by organizing one of these Red Cross service-learning projects. The
service packets below provide in-depth information and resources for
you to help prepare and organize the project with students. These projects
will make a strong impact on the local and international community and
include ways to connect the project to learning objectives. Don’t be Scared, be Prepared! Measles
Initiative
Operation SOLID (April - June): a service project collecting school
supplies for recently resettled refugee youth.
You can organize simple fundraisers to help support critical services.
Money is always needed for disaster victims (locally, nationally, and
internationally), for the Measles Initiative, and other life-saving
programs. Click here
for ideas and tips about raising money. It is important that you tell
us before you organize a fundraiser by emailing
us.
Invite the Red Cross to your school or organization to teach youth to
be prepared for an emergency. Red Cross volunteers will teach disaster
preparedness, set up information booths, and train students in CPR and
First Aid. You may even invite the Red Cross Players to perform an educational
skit for your students. Click here
to send a request to the Red Cross for one of these services.
