So, the main indication for the use of Viagra is erectile dysfunction (ED) of various etiologies. This means that this medicine is effective against potency disorders caused by both physical (diabetes, vascular atherosclerosis) and psychological reasons (self-doubt, anxiety, fear of sexual failure), as well as their combination. It is ED of mixed etiology that occurs most often.

The action of Viagra is based on the ability of its main ingredient, Sildenafil citrate, to dilate the vessels of the penis and cause increased blood flow to the cavernous bodies. The medicine begins to act in 30-50 minutes after ingestion, and the duration of its effect is from four to six hours, which is enough even for the longest sexual marathon.
