The Red Cross Student Steering Committee
The Student Steering Committee is a newly formed group of 35 youth leaders representing 70 high schools and three colleges in Central Maryland. “The purpose of the committee,” said Bill Clarke, Youth Services Manager for the Central Maryland Red Cross,” is to provide students with a leadership role within the Red Cross.”
Mission Statement: The American Red Cross Student Steering Committee is a diverse, student volunteer, leadership committee dedicated to . . . increasing meaningful student involvement in the American Red Cross, generating new ideas, and planning new programs to solve stated problems in our global community. The next Steering Committee meetings will be April 8th, and then June 3, 2000.
